David Toney is a world renowned Ju Jitsu Master and Functional Breathing Coach. Childhood trauma led to poor breathing patterns that continued throughout David’s life. Stress, anxiety, poor sleep, chest infections, stiff joints and fatigue were all part of his day-to-day struggle.

He noticed his life change when he attended a functional breathing course in Ireland.

“One simple course changed my whole life” 

David felt the benefits of the functional breathing course on many areas of his life; physically, mentally and even emotionally. His asthma improved and long standing aches and pains began to improve. His sleep improved and he had more energy in his day-to-day life!

The effects were so profound that he decided to use his coaching techniques to help others cope with those same problems that he had overcome. 

David works alongside athletes and sports teams, guiding towards greater sporting performance. He also works in the business world, helping professionals develop focus and with individuals who struggle with stress, anxiety, poor sleep and every other issue that stems from poor breathing patterns.

Since becoming a Ju Jitsu coach at the age of 22, David has travelled the world to teach, from Canada to Cuba and Israel to Russia. He has been awarded an honorary professorship by the university of Paris and has received a Lifetime achievement award for teaching Martial Arts worldwide.

It is easy to underestimate the power of breathing. Yes, we all know how to breathe, day in, day out, but improving our breathing techniques can help us to cope with the stresses of every day life.

The Breath Sensei trains you how to use your breath to cope with obstacles in everyday life. We all know how important it is to breathe properly when running or doing other forms of exercise, but David introduces the concept of using breath for times when your kids are stressing you out, or you are worried about an exam!

Whether it is anxiety, stress or even bad sleeping patterns, David guides his students on a healing journey through the exploration of breathing patterns.

This journey gives the students the resources to begin using in their everyday life, and guides them into a higher level of breathwork throughout the courses.
